The Three Column Content Layout creates three columns that expand the width of the page. The columns are equal width and all take up one-third of the browser window. Page Elements are automatically formatted to fill the width of the column.
The three columns below show a typical use for the Three Column Content Layout. You will frequently see them at the bottom of a page, before the footer, as it’s a convenient location to put content like:
- Events
- News
- Related Links
- Donation Buttons
Visitors that scroll past your main content will frequently be looking for these content items. They also serve as a second chance to deliver popular content to your visitors. For example, if you use a hero carousel for news, visitors may not see the story or stories they are looking for, and a news column in a two of three column layout may catch their eye.
These are the Page Elements available in the Three Column Content Layouts.
